At a circuit not necessarily expected to suit the AMG E63 racer Will opened his account in northern Queensland strongly with third in the first race, to record that inaugural and much-celebrated podium finish.
All in all it was certainly a strong weekend, I certainly feel a lot better leaving on a Sunday night than I did the last few events,” Will Davison said.
Will’s second race on Saturday wasn’t as successful with pit lane drama costing him significant time, while in Sunday’s final and longest event, Will had a steady run to finish 10th.

Saturday

Will on race 20: “I wanted to give these guys some silverware, so I’m rapt we’ve finally got it onto the podium. I had some real pace in the car today but somewhere along the line copped some bent steering, and that cost us the ability to fight at the end. And I didn’t have any mirrors either even the one inside the car fell off during the race!”

“But I can’t complain, it was a great result for everyone at Erebus and there’s plenty more of that to come.”

Sunday

Today I felt like I drove a good race, I did all I could the car speed was up there in the top five again, so we were moving forward the whole race. It was good to get back to 10th and salvage some points.”
