LUSTY INDUSTRIES ATHLETES SHOW HEART AT APPIN

Newcastle, NSW JULY 15th, 2013 – Lusty Industries and Distributors spent the weekend just outside of Sydney, Australia at Round 6 of the Monster Energy MX Nationals. Appin MX Complex would reignite the Mx Nationals 10 round series after a 5-week break and the club presented a perfectly groomed track for the riders and fantastic weather to top it all off; fans were treated to some of the best racing all season.

The premier MX1 class generated a large mix up in the overall point’s standings. During the duration of the 5-week break, Lusty Industries Athlete Todd Waters (Factory KTM) suffered a broken collarbone competing in the Queensland Titles just 2 weeks shy of round 6.

Waters would attend this event favoring his collarbone, with outstanding heart and determination to retain his overall point’s standings and the red plate, Waters would finish 10th overall and retain on top of the MX1 points standings.

Cody Mackie (Team 07 Motorsports/TLD) would finish the opening Moto with a breakthrough finish, Mackie found himself just shy of the top 5 finishing 6th. Mackie finished the weekend in a solid 9th position. Adam Monea (Monster Energy Kawasaki) also cracked into the top 10 with an outstanding Moto 2 performance.

Monea would find himself charging through the pack to finish 2nd behind pace setting Cody Cooper. Monea would find himself finishing 5th in the overall points standings for the day. Appin’s round of the Mx Nationals would result in a successful close with all Lusty Industries athletes finishing in the Top 10.

The MX2 class generated some great racing also, mixed results and a DNF’s would headline the stacked MX2 Class. Kade Mosig (Team 07 Motorsports/TLD) made his return to the competitive national circuit after returning from injury, Mosig silenced many critics with his 3rd place overall finish. Geran Stapleton (Raceline Pirelli Suzuki) finished the day with a matching result of 4th place in both motos.

Teammate Ryan Marmont finishing 7th overall, giving team Raceline Suzuki a breakthrough performance at round 6 of the Mx Nationals. Tragedy hit for Carlton Dry Honda’s Josh Cachia as he would not finish Moto 2 suffering further damage to an already injured wrist, this would push Josh down the overall points standings to 3rd.
